72 Weight-Loss Products Recalled!

Finally! The FDA has recalled 72 Weight Loss Products due to "risky" ingredients.

"Some of the products claim to be 'natural' or to contain only 'herbal' ingredients, but actually contain potentially harmful ingredients not listed on the product labels or in promotional advertisements," the FDA said. "These products have not been approved by the FDA, are illegal, and may be potentially harmful to unsuspecting consumers."

The FDA went on to state that these products contained prescription strength amounts that exceeded the recommended dosage and could cause health risks to consumers. Adverse reactions could range from high blood pressure, seizures, tachycardia, palpitations and increased risk of depression.

Do you need an attitude adjustment?

There are 100's of author, speakers, and motivators on personal development and spiritual development but if you look real close at what they are saying; their all saying the same thing and delivering it in a different way.  I am a truth seeker; I want to know, it has been my passion for a few years now, to really get what the meaning of life is.

Well, it comes down to one simple saying... "change your thinking, change your life" - Ernest Holmes

Many others have said this very same thing; let's take a look...

Most successful people begin with two beliefs: the future can be better than the present, and I have the power to make it so. David Brooks

"Every day remind yourself of your own ability, of your good mind, and affirm that you can make something really good out of your life." - Norman Vincent Peale

"In an instant your attitude can change, when you decide to change it.  It requires no money, no technical skill or knowledge, no preparation, no physical strength.  You don't need anyone else's consent or assistance.  It is free and easy and quickly accomplished.

When your attitude is holding you back, when it is making you miserable, when it is working against your efforts, change it.  Just change it.  Realize that a positive perspective will add value to any situation, and it costs you nothing.  In fact, it pays to be positive.  You can then clearly see opportunity, and you can see how to capitalize on it.  You'll engender the support, respect and admiration of others.  You'll be getting things done rather than worrying about how things are.

Your attitude is one of the most powerful tools available to you.  You can control and direct it, and it can change the world for you.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by being positive right now, no matter what is going on.  Take a moment to inject yourself with a winning attitude.  It will steadily lead you to a winning reality."  - Ralph Marston

Regardless of what you believe, you are always right... even when you decide to change your mind!
Do something different; tell yourself how powerful you are, how wonderful you are, and how great you feel to be alive.  Start there, and just wait and see what happens; beautiful things will emerge in your life, as if a miracle has taken place.  It's not a miracle, it's the TRUTH of who and what you are; being awakened to the possibility of LIFE itself!

Healthy regards,

Theo Tilton

Maximize Quick Workouts

I have always used these tried and true principles with my workouts.  Maybe its time you give them a try.

From our friends from WebMD

Even if you just have a few moments each day, follow these steps to get the most out of your workouts.

1. Increase Your Intensity. When strength training, use heavier weight and perform less reps. When doing cardiovascular exercise, work at a higher intensity, trying to keep your heart to 80% of your maximum heart rate (max heart rate = 220 - your age).

2. Plan. Plan your workout routine in advance so that you are not wandering from machine to machine contemplating your next move. Meet with a Coach to develop a handful of workout routines, and stick to them.  Also, have alternative exercises in mind in case the machine you want is being used by someone else.

3. Use Proper Form. Improper exercise technique not only poses a greater risk of injury to muscles and joints, it also wastes your time. Ask your Coach to walk you through the equipment, showing you proper technique with machines and free weights.

4. Minimize Socialization. Social support is great, but make sure your workout doesn't turn into social hour. You should be working out at a high enough intensity (see #1) that it is hard to carry a complete conversation.

5. Change It Up. Muscles have memory and will adapt to workouts and eventually our bodies plateau. Be sure to vary your cardiovascular workouts, and add speed or incline intervals for added challenge. When strength training, change the order of the exercises or rotate from machines to free weights. Vary your exercise program every six to eight weeks.

6. No TV or Books. Bottom line: When you are focused on other things, your workout suffers. If you need a diversion to make it through your workout try music--the different beats of songs can also aid in interval training--as music pace speeds up, you should too.

7. Minimize Rest. Rest only 30 to 90 seconds between strength exercises, and alternate muscle groups (for example, follow a bicep lift with a triceps exercise). This allows you to shorten the rest interval in between--while one muscle group is working, the opposing group is getting active recovery.

Health is my natural state of being

Today I decide to FWD and affirmation paragraph that I recently read in a "daily-reader"
called "Daily Word".  It is so focused on Health and since I am a BIG BELIEVER in change your thinking
change your life... I just had to send it to all of you..

Here we go:

Health is my natural state of being. I am energetic in mind and body.
As I awake daily, I stretch my body, reaching my arms up high, and affirm:
Health is my natural state of being. With my feet firmly planted on the floor,
I lean from side to side, feeling my body awaken to this truth: I am energetic in mind and body.
With appreciation for life and health, I take in and breathe out a few deep,
full breaths. As I do, I feel a resurgence of energy within me that enlivens my senses.
My life is precious to me, and I am thankful for abundant health and vitality.
Aware of the Energy within, I am strong in body and mind. I am conscious of the divine
energy that is flowing throughout my body. I am alive, healthy, and whole.
Being present to my Spirit, I greet this day with energy and enthusiasm.

Let me know what you think.  I appreciate any comments.

Always in Abundant Health,
Theo Tilton
